Breaking: Ohinoyi, Dr. AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, Paramount ruler of Ebiraland, passes away

In a solemn turn of events, the revered paramount ruler of Ebiraland, known as the Ohinoyi, Dr. AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, has transitioned from this earthly realm. Ogunwatch has confirmed that the late monarch peacefully joined his ancestors in the early hours of Sunday.

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland is a distinguished traditional ruler of the Ebira people, representing a significant cultural and historical heritage. While the title Atta of Ebiraland has historically been associated with this position, it gradually fell out of favor during the 20th Century. The selection of the Ohinoyi is conducted by a group of elders and has traditionally rotated among the major clans of the Ebira community.

The late Ohinoyi, His Royal Majesty Alhaji Dr. AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, ascended to the throne on June 2, 1997. His reign, marked by tradition and leadership, will be remembered with respect and admiration. As the Ebira community mourns this loss, the legacy of Dr. AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim in Ebiraland will be honored and cherished.
