BREAKING: Mr. Ibu’s leg amputated for survival

In a recent update from the family of actor John Okafor, known as Mr. Ibu, it has been disclosed that a life-saving decision was made. Back in October, news emerged that the veteran actor was facing illness and required financial support for his treatment.

In a statement posted on the actor’s Instagram page this Monday, it was revealed that Mr. Ibu had undergone a total of seven successful surgeries, including the amputation of one of his legs, all in an effort to ensure his survival.

The statement conveyed their gratitude, saying, “We want to express our deep appreciation to all those who have rallied behind our father. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it, and we believe only the grace of the Almighty can truly repay you for the generous assistance you’ve provided.

“At noon today, our father underwent seven successful surgeries, but to improve his chances of recovery and keep him alive, a difficult decision was made to amputate one of his legs.

“This has been an incredibly challenging development for all of us, but we’ve had to accept it as our father’s new reality, all for the sake of preserving his life.

“We continue to appeal for support from compassionate Nigerians because, at this critical stage, our father remains fragile and in need of every bit of help he can receive.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The Okafor family is genuinely appreciative, and we recognize the significance of your contributions. In time, our father will personally extend his gratitude to each and every one of you who stood by him during this trying period, as soon as he is in a stable condition.”
