Boniface draws interest from top European clubs

Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has identified Victor Boniface as the most sought-after striker among clubs in Europe’s Top 5 leagues, as reported by PUNCH Sports Extra. Despite joining Bayer Leverkusen for €20 million from Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the last transfer window, Boniface has rapidly emerged as one of Europe’s most formidable strikers.

His stellar performance, marked by seven goals and five assists in 11 Bundesliga games, earned him the league’s Player of the Month and Rookie of the Month awards for August, September, and October. Additionally, he secured nominations for the best player of the month in September. Notably, Boniface holds the record for the most shots in the Bundesliga this season, according to mid-September statistics.

The 22-year-old striker played a pivotal role in Die Werkself’s impressive start to the 2023/24 season, with the team currently leading the Bundesliga table after 11 matchdays. Before the recent international break, Boniface ranked as the fourth player in Europe’s Top 5 leagues with the most goal contributions, trailing only Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, and Serhou Guirassy.

Boniface’s goal contributions statistics are commendable, standing behind Kane, Haaland, and Guirassy. His seven goals in 11 games place him as the Bundesliga’s sixth top scorer for the 2023/24 season.

Romano revealed that top clubs, including Newcastle, Real Madrid, and Liverpool, are closely monitoring Boniface’s outstanding performances at Leverkusen. The Nigerian striker’s impact has not gone unnoticed, particularly with his three consecutive Bundesliga Rookie of the Month awards, making him a highly coveted talent in the European football scene.
