Bayern Munich appoints Vincent Kompany as new head coach

On Wednesday, Bayern Munich announced the appointment of Vincent Kompany as their new head coach on a three-year contract. Despite Burnley’s recent relegation from the Premier League, the 38-year-old Belgian has taken on the challenge of leading the German giants.

“I’m looking forward to the challenge at FC Bayern,” Kompany stated. He emphasized his coaching philosophy, saying, “As a coach, you have to stand for who you are as a person: I love having possession of the ball, being creative, and we also have to be aggressive on the pitch and brave.”

Kompany expressed his enthusiasm for the foundational aspects of his new role, adding, “I’m now looking forward to the most basic things: working with the players, building a team. When the foundation is in place, success will follow.”
