The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reveals a setback in election preparations as one of its officials is kidnapped in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
Wilfred Ifogah, the head of INEC voters’ registration in the state, discloses that the abduction occurred at a jetty while the official awaited boat boarding. Additionally, a boat carrying election personnel and materials to southern Ijaw LGA capsized, resulting in the loss of result sheets.
