Asake dominates Google searches as Nigeria’s most-searched artiste in 2023

In the realm of online searches, Afrobeat sensation Asake, also known as Ahmed Ololade, has emerged as Nigeria’s most sought-after artiste in 2023, according to Google’s recently released rankings.

Asake’s chart-topping single, ‘Lonely At The Top,’ not only claimed the spotlight as the most searched song but also solidified his position as the nation’s most in-demand artist. The rankings, unveiled on Monday, showcased the artist’s widespread popularity.

Trailing closely behind Asake are international acts Khalid and Shallipopi, making the top three of the most-searched artistes in Nigeria. The top 10 list includes notable names like Seyi Vibez, Kizz Daniel, Portable, Spyro, Boy Spice, Odumodublvck, and Ayra Starr.

In the realm of trending songs, Asake’s ‘Lonely at the Top’ retained its dominance, while a diverse array of tracks filled the top 10, featuring artists such as Omah Lay, Kizz Daniel, Spyro ft Tiwa Savage, King Promise, Ayra Starr, Ruga, Khalid ft Boy Spyce, KCee, and Kizz Daniel once again.

Asake’s ascent to the pinnacle of Google searches signifies not only his musical prowess but also the growing influence of Afrobeat on the global stage. The rankings provide a snapshot of the musical landscape, reflecting the diverse tastes and preferences of Nigerian audiences in 2023.
