Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, expressed appreciation to Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East in the Senate, commending his efforts in alleviating poverty through various empowerment initiatives for the state’s residents.

During an empowerment program organized by Senator Fadahunsi in Ilesa on Tuesday, Mr. Bayo Ogungbangbe, the governor’s representative at the event and the State Commissioner for Cooperative and Empowerment, lauded the senator’s efficiency in meeting the needs of his constituents. He highlighted the significance of distributing empowerment tools, such as sewing machines and hair dryers, as a means of providing sustainable livelihoods for the residents.

Ogungbangbe emphasized that this was the sixth occasion where Senator Fadahunsi had sought assistance in distributing materials for empowerment. He praised the senator’s consistent efforts in providing various tools and financial grants to empower the people, contributing significantly to the government’s outreach in terms of empowerment.

Encouraging the beneficiaries, Ogungbangbe urged them to make judicious use of the empowerment tools to enhance their trades, lift themselves out of poverty, and contribute meaningfully to the economic well-being of their communities. He emphasized the importance of the empowerment initiatives in fostering economic growth and self-sustainability.

In his welcome address, Senator Fadahunsi, represented by Mr. Wale Awofolaju, highlighted that the empowerment program aimed to mitigate the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the constituents, underlining its role in providing support during challenging economic times.
