62-year-old Ondo woman found dead in her room

The Ondo State Police Command announced on Friday that it is looking into the death of Mrs. Iyanuoluwa Adamolekun, a 62-year-old woman allegedly murdered in her room.

Reportedly occurring in the Agbaluku area of Arigidi Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday, the woman’s lifeless body was discovered in her home by her granddaughter.

The granddaughter raised an alarm, alerting neighbors to the distressing scene.

The cause of death remains uncertain, but suspicions of murder emerged due to the woman being found in a pool of blood.

The deceased’s body has been taken to the mortuary. Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, the state police public relations officer, confirmed the incident, stating that an investigation is underway.

“I can confirm that an investigation has commenced into the matter,” said Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami.
