In a shocking incident that unfolded in Ottawa, South Africa, a landlord met a tragic end allegedly at the hands of a tenant and two accomplices, all triggered by a dispute over unpaid rent.

As reported by TimesLive, the director of Reaction Unit SA (Rusa), Prem Balram, shared the grim details of the incident. The ill-fated landlord resided on Riverview Road, and it was on this street that the fateful confrontation took place.

Balram recounted, “A resident of Riverview Road contacted Rusa at around 2.36 pm after she heard about the murder. On arrival, reaction officers discovered Verulam police at the scene. It was established the property owner demanded outstanding payment for rental when a verbal altercation ensued. The tenant left the property and returned with two other men.

They allegedly stabbed the victim many times before they fled the scene on foot.” The distressing cries for help during the attack prompted other tenants on the property to swiftly seek assistance from law enforcement agents.
