The Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun, has directed the Bureau of State Pensions to begin paying gratuities to pensioners in the state immediately.

Ogunwatch gathered that the N1b gratuity was provided to help and comfort older citizens who had faithfully served the state and local government.

The Permanent Secretary of the Bureau, Mr. Adesoji Adewuyi, revealed this on Wednesday during a press conference with journalists held in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
