Brymo Olawale, a Nigerian artist who recently trended for expressly making ethnocentric comments targeted at the Igbo tribe of Nigeria has confirmed that he was paid by Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress.
Brymo, following a petition launched against him which got over 30,000 signatures, had earlier apologized on Twitter for tweeting: “F*#ck the Ndi Igbo!! To Hell With It!!”.
In an interview with BBC YORUBA, the artist confirmed that he was given some money by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, when he paid him a visit in Abuja as ‘thank you package’.
According to him, the visit to Tinubu’s residence became possible after he had a meeting with Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
