Processes/Procedures after admission.
Many students who have finally being offered admission are many of the times at a crossroad at what to do, wasting time and thereby losing their admission.
In Oou, once admission has being offered to a student, the very next thing is verification.
It should be noted that just immediately before the verification, the student who has been offered admission is expected to pay an acceptance of 60,000 naira.
It is now a custom or practice for the deadline of payment of such acceptance fee to be 1 week.
Suffices to state that, where a student fails to pay the acceptance fee of 60, 000 naira within the 1 week of payment, such admission would be forfeited.
The verification process is where the credentials such as the Student O level result, birth certificate, jamb score, post utme score, receipt of payment of tax clearance would be checked.
Another major payment that a student make is the payment of tax clearance, which is a total of 10,000 naira.
Once all of the above credentials are checked at the administrative centre, the student proceeds to do the second verification which is the stamping of legality of the credentials at the student respective department.
Once the student is verified, the student is enabled to pay the required school fees.
The school fees vary according to the department.
LAW;
The school fees for the law student over the years has remained 143,000 naira.
MEDICINE;
For medicine, the student pays a total of 180,000 naira
Political Science;
For the student of political science, the fee has remained 98,000 naira
Performing Art;
The fee for student of the performing art student has remained 89,000 naira.
The above are just a few of the various fees paid by students in different department.
During the whole processes and the verification, one major thing that is done is by the student is the medicals where he has to pay the fee of 10,000 naira and 1000 naira during the student welfare verification.
It should be noted that, during the second verification processes, the student can begin to receive lectures.
