2 – 2: Real Madrid forces a draw at Bayern’s home

Real Madrid’s knack for producing moments of brilliance and capitalizing on opposition mistakes once again came to the fore in Tuesday’s thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final.

Despite being outplayed for large periods, Los Blancos took the lead against the run of play when Vinicius Jr expertly deceived Kim Min-jae with a clever run before slotting home a sublime through-ball from Toni Kroos.

However, Bayern turned the tie on its head with two quick and well-deserved goals from Leroy Sane and Harry Kane, leaving Madrid staring at defeat. But, in a familiar twist, Kim Min-jae’s error handed Madrid a lifeline, as he brought down Vinicius Jr in the area, allowing the Brazilian to register his second goal of the night from the penalty spot and secure a 2-2 draw.

The result sets up a mouth-watering second leg at the Bernabeu next week, where Bayern will aim to capitalize on their dominant performance and book their place in the final. Can Real Madrid conjure up more Champions League magic to overcome the odds once again? Only time will tell.
